Monga Mist Cider
with a Spanish Style
Espichas

Sunday 7th June 2009 – 2.30pm to 5.00pm

From it’s origins in Asturias in Spain, Espichas is a celebration involving the opening and the tasting a barrel or more of the new season’s cider accompanied by small plates of spicy food. Espichas evokes a fiestas atmosphere where joking and singing is encouraged.. 

Monga Mist is a still cider with a pleasant tart flavour; it is naturally cloudy with a strong bouquet of apples. Ideally, this style of cider should be drunk young from the barrel or bottled and consumed within two years.

The cider tasting will be accompanied with traditional finger fare from the main cider making regions of the world:

The South West of Britain (UK)
Normandy (France)
Brittany (France)
Asturias (Spain).

Tickets are $38.50 and include food and one glass of Monga Mist Cider tapped from the barrel.
Extra glasses of cider can be purchased on the night. Numbers are limited, so please book ahead.
